Diesel Technician Apprentice
About The Position
Diesel Technician Apprentices work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining clean places and providing friendly service to customers and drivers. Professional experience is not required; Love’s will provide training. The apprentice program teaches diagnostics and repairs for electrical, air conditioning and heating, wheel end, air, air brake, and charging systems, along with basic computer diagnostics, auxiliary component replacement, and parts lookup and acquisition. The role also involves assisting customers with roadside services and learning preventative maintenance. The work includes a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night as needed.
Requirements
- Mechanically inclined; professional experience is not required.
- Ability to move and lift 75+ pounds while working in close quarters.
- Ability to work in various temperatures.
- Ability to obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation; Love’s pays for it.
- Ability to work a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night as needed.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers with roadside services.

- Learn parts lookup and acquisition.
- Put customer safety and satisfaction first and comply with company safety policies and procedures.
