Diesel Service Apprentice / Mechanic
About The Position
Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC (MHC), North America’s largest Kenworth truck dealership and leasing group, is hiring a Diesel Service Apprentice / Mechanic. This is the first stage of training toward Service Technician status. The role performs light maintenance work under close supervision and assists with heavy-duty truck repair. This is a safety-sensitive position. Working under the influence of marijuana or another illegal drug may pose a threat to health or safety, particularly because the work involves heavy equipment, machinery, or motor vehicles. MHC describes itself as a multi-state network of full-service diesel truck dealerships, leasing and rental operations, transport refrigeration locations, and a finance company offering finance and insurance services. Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance work under supervision, including preventive maintenance, pre-delivery inspections, and light electrical repairs.
- Assist a Service Technician with heavy-duty truck repair.
- Attend training sessions to gain knowledge and experience.
- Maintain a neat and orderly work area and properly handle company tools.
- Perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor.
