About The Position

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC (MHC) is hiring a Diesel Service Apprentice / Mechanic to perform light maintenance work under close supervision. This is the first stage of training toward Service Technician status. The position assists with maintenance and heavy-duty truck repair, attends training, and maintains an orderly work area while properly handling company tools. The role is designated safety-sensitive; working under the influence of marijuana or other illegal drugs may pose a threat to health or safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance work under supervision, including preventive maintenance, pre-delivery inspections, and light electrical repairs.
• Assist a Service Technician with heavy-duty truck repair.
• Attend training sessions to gain knowledge and experience.
• Maintain a neat and orderly work area and properly handle company tools.
• Perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor.
