About The Position

Join the team as a skilled Mechanic responsible for keeping the fleet and equipment running at peak performance. Diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of automotive and stationary equipment, including trucks, tractor-trailers, heavy equipment, hydraulic systems, air compressors, and welding equipment. The role includes supervising and guiding a Mechanic's Helper, responding to road calls and on-site breakdowns as needed, and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe shop environment. Work takes place in an indoor shop and outdoors in the field.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair fleet vehicles and stationary equipment to company standards.
• Proactively identify issues and coordinate repairs with the Manager and team.
• Supervise and guide a Mechanic's Helper.
• Conduct required inspections and accurately complete maintenance documentation.
• Respond to road calls and on-site equipment breakdowns as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment.
• Follow safety and environmental regulations and promptly report concerns.
• Pick up equipment or supplies as needed.
• Train fellow employees by sharing knowledge.
• Provide coverage for colleagues as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
