About The Position

As a Diesel Mechanic – Customer Equipment Solutions (Service Tech III - CES) at United Rentals, you will perform maintenance and complex repairs on customer-owned equipment safely and professionally. The role provides opportunities to develop skills and pursue higher Service Technician or leadership positions in the Service Department. You will also provide exceptional customer service.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
3–5 years of experience repairing or maintaining equipment and tools.
Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
Knowledge of construction equipment and a strong mechanical background, including knowledge of various engines.
Own tools applicable to the position.
Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to frequently lift items weighing up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

Safely maintain and repair a variety of complex customer-owned equipment, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
Complete and maintain paperwork or electronic documentation of work performed, including work orders, accurately and promptly each day.
Upsell and demonstrate a wide array of complex equipment to customers.
Travel to customer job sites when required to repair or maintain customer-owned equipment.
Keep the service vehicle clean and professional.
Assist with equipment and parts pickup and delivery.
Perform other duties as assigned.
