About The Position

As a Diesel Mechanic – Customer Equipment Solutions (Service Tech III - CES) at United Rentals, you will perform maintenance and complex repairs on customer-owned equipment safely and professionally. The role provides opportunities to develop skills and pursue higher-level service technician and leadership positions within the Service Department. You are also expected to deliver exceptional customer service.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
3–5 years of experience repairing or maintaining equipment and tools.
Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
Knowledge of construction equipment and a strong mechanical background with various engines.
Own tools applicable to the position.
Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

Safely maintain and repair a variety of complex customer-owned equipment involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
Complete and submit paperwork and electronic documentation of work performed, including work orders, accurately and on time each day.
Upsell and demonstrate a wide array of complex equipment to customers.
Travel to customer job sites when required to repair or maintain customer-owned equipment.
Maintain the service vehicle in a clean and professional manner.
Assist with equipment and parts pick-up and delivery.
Perform other duties as assigned.
