About The Position

As a Field Diesel Mechanic – Customer Equipment Solutions (Service Tech IV - Field Service - CES), you will perform maintenance and repairs on complex customer-owned equipment with limited or no supervision, using a highly skilled, safe, and professional approach. The role requires strong customer service and offers the potential to progress into leadership roles in the Service Department. The mechanic travels to customer job sites to service equipment, maintains a clean and professional service vehicle, documents work performed, helps train lower-level technicians, demonstrates and upsells equipment, and assists with equipment and parts pickup and delivery. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
At least 5 years of experience repairing or maintaining equipment and tools.
Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
Knowledge of construction equipment and a strong mechanical background with various engines.
Advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams.
Own tools applicable to the position.
Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to frequently lift items weighing up to 45 pounds.

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of rental and customer equipment and tools, using independent judgment.
Travel to customer job sites to repair and maintain customer-owned equipment.
Keep the service vehicle clean and professional.
Assist with training lower-level technicians as needed.
Complete and submit paperwork or electronic work-order documentation accurately and promptly each day.
Upsell and demonstrate a wide array of complex equipment for customers.
Assist with pickup and delivery of equipment and parts.
Perform other duties as assigned.
