About The Position
McCarthy Tire Service is seeking a skilled Heavy-Duty Diesel Mechanic to inspect, maintain, and repair diesel trucks and trailers.
Requirements
- CDL Class A or B required
- Must have own tools
- Acceptable MVR
- Must pass drug test and DOT physical
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Freightliner, Volvo, and International trucks is a plus.
- Federal DOT Inspection License preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics, inspections, and preventive maintenance
- Complete Federal DOT inspections and PM services
- Repair and replace major components including air brakes, clutches, transmissions, drivetrains, electrical, fuel, emission, brake, steering, hydraulic, and A/C systems
- Conduct test drives to verify performance and compliance
- Maintain accurate service records
- Maintain shop equipment and manage parts inventory
