About The Position
Cox Fleet is seeking individuals for their FleeTec Academy program, a paid educational opportunity designed to train aspiring Diesel Technicians. This program offers free technical education, a set of hand tools and toolbox, and leads to a full-time position as a Mobile Diesel Mechanic. The role involves performing preventative maintenance and general repairs at customer locations using a state-of-the-art mobile repair vehicle. The program includes four weeks of full-time classroom training, followed by hands-on training with a Lead Technician, and ongoing education to develop skills. Upon successful completion of the multi-year program, participants will be recognized as Diesel Technicians.
Requirements
- Desire to start a career as a Diesel Technician and become a Mobile Mechanic.
- Willingness and ability to study hard.
- Commitment to dedicating four weeks away from home for training.
- Maturity level to focus on the task at hand.
- Technical aptitude and a passion for fixing vehicles.
- Ability to operate an iPad.
- Must be 21 years old to drive company trucks.
- Willingness to undergo background checks, driving record checks, pre-employment drug testing, and physical examinations.
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma or an equivalent combination of education is preferred but not required.
