About The Position

Cox Fleet is seeking motivated individuals for an entry-level Trailer Mechanic position, offering a unique paid educational program called FleeTec Academy. This program is designed to train individuals with little to no prior experience to become full-time Trailer Technicians. The program includes four weeks of paid classroom training at an Academy Campus, with travel, accommodation, and meal stipends provided. Upon completion, participants receive hands-on training from a Lead Technician and are offered a full-time Mobile Trailer Mechanic position. The role involves performing preventative maintenance and general repairs at customer locations using a state-of-the-art mobile vehicle. Requirements

  • Desire to start a career as a Trailer Technician and become a Mobile Mechanic.
  • Willingness and ability to study hard for four weeks.
  • Dedication to being away from home for four weeks of training.
  • Maturity to focus on the task at hand.
  • Technical aptitude and a passion for fixing vehicles.
  • Ability to operate an iPad.
  • Must be at least 21 years or older due to interstate operating authority regulations.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to obtain and maintain a Driver Qualification File.
  • Ability to successfully complete and pass a DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical.
  • A current and valid DOT medical card with more than four (4) months remaining until its expiration may be submitted in lieu of a DOT physical. If the DOT medical card has four (4) months or less of validity remaining, a DOT physical will be required.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or an equivalent combination of education is preferred but not required.
