About The Position

QSL Management is seeking a Personal Assistant for The Barclay House of Baton Rouge. The company provides assisted living and memory care residents with companionship, supportive listening, assistance with activities of daily living, and other support. The role also includes light housekeeping and laundry, helping with dining and activities, and recording resident progress and changes in health or status. The listed salary is $14–$18, depending on experience.

Requirements

• A caring heart and willingness to serve others.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Flexibility and preparedness to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is preferred, but is not required unless required by state regulations.
• CPR/First Aid is preferred.
• Experience working with older adults is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and supportive listening to assisted living and memory care residents.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and feeding.
• Report changes in residents’ health and status.
• Complete daily data sheets to record resident progress.
• Assist residents with memory and performance improvement programs.
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry.
• Assist with dining as needed or as directed by the leadership team.
• Assist with activities that keep residents engaged and happy.
