About The Position

The Cottages Assisted Living & Memory Care is seeking a dependable, compassionate caregiver to help residents feel safe, comfortable, respected, and cared for in a small, residential-style community. Caregivers provide personalized attention, build meaningful relationships with residents, and work as part of a team to create a positive, welcoming home. Experience is preferred but not required; comprehensive, hands-on training is provided. The role is scheduled from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Requirements

Must be at least 17 years of age.
Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
Ability to follow instructions, company policies, and resident care plans.
Successful completion of required criminal background screening.
Successful completion of a post-offer drug screening.
A genuine desire to provide compassionate, quality care.
Compassion, dependability, patience, trustworthiness, and a positive attitude.
Team-oriented approach and willingness to learn from training and feedback.

Nice To Haves

Caregiving experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal care.
Provide medication assistance as trained and authorized.
Support residents with walking, mobility, and daily activities.
Prepare and serve home-cooked meals.
Assist with light housekeeping and laundry.
Monitor resident safety and well-being.
Build relationships with residents through conversation, companionship, and activities.
Work with the team to create a positive, welcoming home for residents.
Follow care and safety procedures, company policies, instructions, and resident care plans.
