About The Position

Miller Transportation Group is a family-owned transportation company founded in 1912. Its business units include truck leasing and maintenance, automobile dealerships, dedicated transportation services, and brokerage services. Miller Truck Leasing is hiring an experienced diesel technician for its truck maintenance shop in Leesport, Pennsylvania. The ideal candidate has heavy truck mechanic experience, preferably in truck leasing, and wants to continue developing their technical knowledge.

Requirements

• Prior experience as a fleet mechanic, diesel mechanic, or heavy equipment mechanic.
• Experience or formal training diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Class 1–7 diesel tractors.
• A valid CDL, or the ability to acquire a CDL with assistance from the company's trainer.
• Hand tools.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working on refrigeration units is desired but not required.
• Experience in the truck leasing industry.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance and general reconditioning on Class 1 through Class 8 vehicles.
• Diagnose, document, and repair engine fault codes using company-supplied OEM software and follow warranty procedures.
• Repair or replace brakes, steering components, and suspension, and perform alignments.
• Replace clutches and transmissions.
