About The Position

DaVita is seeking an experienced, certified Dialysis Technician (PCT) to provide patient care at the Grand Central Dialysis Center in Vienna, West Virginia. This per diem role is expected to work up to 23 hours per week, with typical shifts across three to four days per week and at least two Saturdays per month. Shifts may begin as early as 3:00 a.m. and can vary with patient needs. The technician must be available for mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, and may be asked to work across multiple clinics in the territory. The role combines direct patient care and dialysis equipment and water-room tasks. Technicians provide safe, comfortable, hygienic treatment; monitor patients before, during, and after dialysis; measure and record patient statistics; make patient observations; and set up hemodialysis machines. Opening duties include preparing the water room and bicarbonate and testing water and checking tool calibration. Technicians also build ongoing relationships with patients receiving dialysis and educate them about kidney dialysis topics. The position involves exposure to blood and needles, mixing acid or bicarbonate, and extended periods on your feet. PCTs work as part of a cross-functional clinical team and under RN supervision. DaVita provides paid classroom and hands-on training, which may take place at a facility or training clinic other than the assigned home clinic, and reimburses the Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT) license. Career advancement paths are available through a clinical ladder.
