DaVita is hiring a Dialysis Technician (PCT) to provide patient care at its Dover Dialysis Center in Dover, Ohio. Paid training is provided through a combination of classroom and hands-on instruction; training may take place at a facility or training clinic separate from the teammate’s assigned home clinic. Training hours may vary, but teammates typically work 32–40 hours per week during training. DaVita also reimburses the Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT) license and offers a clinical ladder with opportunities for increased responsibility and compensation. The role focuses on direct, one-on-one care for patients receiving hemodialysis, typically caring for four to five patients at a time. Technicians prepare treatment areas and equipment, including water-room and bicarbonate preparation, water testing, and tool calibration. They set up hemodialysis machines and monitor patients before, during, and after treatment by measuring and recording vital statistics and observing patients. The role also includes educating patients about kidney dialysis and building ongoing relationships with people receiving treatment, often three times per week. The clinic operates Monday through Saturday from 4:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Shifts are 12 hours, with schedules varying according to patient census and needs. PCTs typically work three to four days per week, including at least two Saturdays per month, and may be asked to start as early as 3:00 a.m. Teammates must be available for mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, and may need to work across multiple clinics in the territory. PCTs work under RN supervision as part of a cross-functional clinical team.
