Skilled Nursing Dialysis Registered Nurse
About The Position
DaVita is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver dialysis care to patients with end-stage renal disease in skilled nursing facilities. The nurse provides on-site treatment at partner facilities and offers high-quality, compassionate care in the facility setting. The work location is Salem Health and Rehabilitation in Salem, Virginia. The schedule is three days per week, with shifts of 12 or more hours. There is no on-call duty. The role may involve floating to multiple facilities during and after training and working in a fast-paced environment with diverse patient needs. The schedule may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. The position is open for a minimum of three days. The stated wage range is $35.00 to $48.00 per hour; compensation depends on qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience. The role is eligible for a retention bonus paid in milestone installments, subject to terms and eligibility detailed during the offer process. Current team members are not included in the retention bonus offer.
Requirements
- Dialysis experience is required.
- Current RN license in the state of practice.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- ICU, CCU, emergency room, or medical/surgical experience is a plus.
- CNN or CDN certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide dialysis treatment to patients at skilled nursing facility partner sites.
- Monitor patient vital signs and assess response to treatment.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care.
- Educate patients and families about treatment and care plans.
- Maintain safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
