About The Position

DaVita is hiring a float Registered Nurse to provide compassionate, professional dialysis-related nursing services in an outpatient setting. The nurse will help ensure patient safety, comfort, and wellbeing while working in a fast-paced environment with a team of clinicians. The position requires floating among clinics in San Luis Obispo, Santa Maria, Pismo Beach, and Templeton, California. Paid training is provided. Open availability is required Monday through Saturday from 4:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and hours may extend based on patient needs. A typical schedule is three 12–13-hour shifts per week. The posting includes information for both an experienced dialysis float role and a Registered Nurse role that does not require dialysis experience. It states a $5,000 retention package is offered. The experienced dialysis location requires dialysis experience and at least nine months of RN experience; the other role requires at least nine months of RN experience and provides paid training. The wage range is $42.00–$59.00 per hour, with compensation depending on qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience. Requirements

Current RN license in the state of practice.
CPR certification.
Basic EKG interpretation.
At least 2 years of experience with acutely ill patients; ICU, ER, or Med/Surg experience is preferred.
Strong assessment, time management, and communication skills.
At least 9 months of RN experience is required for the roles described.
For the experienced dialysis location, dialysis experience is required.
Open availability Monday through Saturday, 4:00 AM–7:00 PM; hours may extend based on patient needs.
Willingness to float between clinics in San Luis Obispo, Santa Maria, Pismo Beach, and Templeton, California.
