Registered Nurse - Dialysis
About The Position
The Dialysis Staff RN delivers safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The role provides direct patient care within the scope of practice and directs and guides patient and family teaching, as well as the activities of other nursing personnel, while maintaining standards of care within the Inpatient Renal Care Unit. The RN is directly responsible and accountable for care provided to assigned patients. The RN communicates changes in a patient’s clinical condition to physicians, including monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptoms, and responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. This is a full-time position with variable hours, listed as 7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m., at Olympia Fields Hospital in Olympia Fields, Illinois. A sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 is available for qualified candidates; eligibility and payout terms apply.
Requirements
- Current and valid state RN license.
- Current BLS certification; obtain certification upon hire and maintain it.
- Two years of experience in acute care hemodialysis nursing is preferred.
Nice To Haves
- Certification in Nephrology Nursing, Apheresis Nursing, or both is highly encouraged.
- Two years of experience in acute care hemodialysis nursing is preferred.
Responsibilities
