About The Position

This is a travel assignment in a hospital setting. The role focuses on diagnostic radiologic imaging across designated body areas, with patient-centered positioning, safety, and image quality as core responsibilities. The assignment runs for 12 weeks with a guaranteed baseline of 36 hours per week and a 5x8 day schedule, with start times around the morning window and potential variation by shift needs.

Requirements

ARRT Radiography (ARRT-R) certification required
California Radiologic Technologist license required
Fluoroscopy license required in California within 6 months of hire
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor required
CRT and Fluoroscopy (FLUORO) certifications required
At least two years of recent radiology technology experience
Ability to work in a hospital/travel assignment environment; willingness to rotate as needed

Nice To Haves

ARRT credential strongly preferred
Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology preferred

Responsibilities

Operate x-ray equipment to produce diagnostic radiographs as ordered by physicians
Position and prepare patients; explain procedures and ensure comfort
Adjust exposure factors (kVp, mA, time) for optimal image quality and patient safety
Prepare examination rooms and equipment; maintain clean, organized workflow
Perform imaging using portable x-ray and fluoroscopy systems as needed; assist with C-arm procedures
Verify and document exam details; review images on PACS and communicate essential findings to physicians
