About The Position

This is a 13-week travel assignment for a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist in a hospital setting in Boston, Massachusetts. The role involves performing diagnostic radiographic imaging, supporting interventional radiology procedures, maintaining patient safety, preparing and transferring images, and collaborating with the healthcare team. The position guarantees 40 hours per week with 8-hour shifts and includes on-call responsibilities.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of interventional radiology (IR) experience required
  • BLS and ACLS required; ACLS certification must be current
  • Ability to work in a hospital setting in Boston, MA and participate in on-call duties as required

Nice To Haves

  • Neuro (acute strokes), trauma, and vascular imaging experience preferred
  • Cath Lab experience preferred (experience with Impella, telemetry and IABP)
  • Level 1 Trauma Center experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic radiographic imaging following physician orders, ensuring proper patient positioning, exposure factors, and image quality.
  • Support interventional radiology (IR) procedures when required, including neuro, stroke, trauma, and vascular imaging; assist with Cath Lab activities and equipment as trained (e.g., Impella, telemetry, IABP).
  • Maintain patient safety and radiation protection protocols, monitor patient status during procedures, and follow infection control practices.
  • Prepare, label, and transfer images to the radiology information system/PACS; verify patient data and ensure timely image delivery for interpretation.
  • Collaborate with radiology team, physicians, and IR staff; respond to urgent imaging requests and participate in on-call coverage as defined for the assignment.
