Requirements

  • Associate's degree in either sonography or radiologic technology.
  • ARDMS or ARRT (S) or ARRT (R) + MRT
  • Must obtain ARDMS within 1 year of employment.
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating and overseeing the daily operations of the ultrasound department to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care.
  • Managing patient scheduling, call rotation, staffing assignments, and vacation planning to maintain consistent workflow coverage and meet departmental demand.
  • Ensuring all ultrasound equipment is properly maintained, functioning, and documented according to regulatory and departmental standards.
  • Supporting technologists during ultrasound procedures.
  • Assisting in ensuring that supplies, protocols, and procedural documentation are accurate, up to date, and aligned with best practices.
  • Serving as a liaison between staff, physicians, and Diagnostic Imaging leadership to promote strong communication, service excellence, and a positive team culture.
  • Providing day-to-day guidance to the ultrasound team, supporting performance expectations, and helping maintain compliance with safety, quality, and patient-experience standards within BSA Health System.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned by Diagnostic Imaging leadership to support departmental and organizational goals.
