About The Position

Conch Technologies Inc. is seeking a DevOps Engineer with expertise in Terraform and either AWS or Azure. This is a 12+ month contract position located in Phoenix, AZ, requiring the candidate to be onsite from Day 1. The role involves writing Terraform code for cloud infrastructure, focusing on best practices, deployments, debugging, and troubleshooting. Experience with GCP best practices for enterprise-level management is also beneficial. The candidate will be involved in planning, designing, and developing applications on the cloud, with a preference for those who can leverage AWS disaster-recovery design guidelines. Experience with automated build pipelines and continuous integration is a plus.

Requirements

  • Must have expertise in Terraform.
  • Must have experience with either AWS or Azure.
  • Strong knowledge of Terraform commands, best practices, deployments, debugging, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience writing Terraform code for critical Production Systems.
  • Experience with the AWS Provider of Terraform.
  • Experience configuring Remote State management using S3 and DynamoDB.

Nice To Haves

  • HashiCorp Certification is a huge plus.
  • Familiarity with GCP best practices and recommendations.
  • Prior experience in automated build pipeline continuous integration.
  • Experience with tools such as TFLint, TerraScan, TerraGrunt.
  • Experience with Terraform Registry.
  • Experience writing Terraform modules for Services such as S3, SNS, SQS, RDS, EC2, EKS, Lambda's.

Responsibilities

  • Write Terraform code for cloud infrastructure (AWS or Azure).
  • Implement best practices, deployments, debugging, and troubleshooting for Terraform.
  • Set up, configure, and manage cloud environments at an enterprise level, following GCP best practices.
  • Design and develop applications on the Cloud.
  • Design applications on AWS, utilizing disaster-recovery design guidelines.
  • Work with automated build pipelines and continuous integration.
