About The Position

Conch Technologies Inc. is seeking a DevOps Engineer with expertise in Terraform and either AWS or Azure. This is a 12+ month contract position located in Phoenix, AZ, requiring the candidate to be onsite from Day 1. The role involves writing Terraform code, managing cloud infrastructure, and ensuring best practices for deployments and troubleshooting. Experience with GCP is also beneficial for enterprise-level management.

Requirements

• Must have experience with Terraform.
• Must have experience with either AWS or Azure.
• Strong understanding of Terraform commands, best practices, deployments, debugging, and troubleshooting.
• Experience writing Terraform modules for services such as S3, SNS, SQS, RDS, EC2, EKS, Lambda.
• Specific experience with the AWS Provider of Terraform.
• Experience configuring Remote State management using S3 and DynamoDB.
• Proven experience writing Terraform code for critical Production Systems.
• Ability to design applications on AWS taking advantage of disaster-recovery design guidelines.
• Prior experience in automated build pipeline continuous integration.

Nice To Haves

• HashiCorp Certification is a huge plus.
• Familiarity with GCP best practices and recommendations.
• Experience with tools such as TFLint, TerraScan, TerraGrunt.
• Experience with Terraform Registry.

Responsibilities

• Write Terraform code, focusing on best practices, deployments, debugging, and troubleshooting.
• Design and develop applications on the Cloud (AWS or Azure).
• Design applications on AWS, leveraging disaster-recovery design guidelines.
• Implement automated build pipelines and continuous integration.
• Configure remote state management using S3 and DynamoDB.
• Write Terraform modules for various services including S3, SNS, SQS, RDS, EC2, EKS, and Lambda.
• Manage and configure cloud infrastructure at an enterprise level, with familiarity with GCP best practices.
• Troubleshoot and debug Terraform deployments for critical production systems.
