DevOps Engineer (f/m/diverse) - Hybrid

Eurowings Digital is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience with cloud-native technologies, modern tools, and cloud infrastructure, preferably with Azure. The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing tools that allow efficiency or reduce friction for developers operating in Azure, maintaining and optimizing core infrastructure pieces, and collaborating with Developers and other stakeholders to design cloud-native solutions. The role requires someone who can prioritize problems according to criticality and risk, communicate a critical outcome to teams and stakeholders in an objective and clear manner, and work in an agile environment.

• Design, develop, and implement tools that allow efficiency or reduce friction for developers operating in Azure.
• Help maintain and optimize core infrastructure pieces that allow scaling to support concurrent users also in peaks.
• Apply company policies to sub-organizations.
• Collaborate with Developers and other stakeholders to design cloud-native solutions.
• Help establish a performance and operations mindset in our squads and beyond.
• Be part of the on-call duty team to provide support during incidents.

• Genuine interest in DevOps topics/concepts (test automation, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code preferred Terraform, etc.)
• Ability to setup and maintain an Azure access/identity management system on a company level
• Understanding of cloud native and ability to explain how it differs from on-premises
• Experience with modern tools and cloud infrastructure, preferably with Azure
• Ability to carefully analyze different possible courses of action and select the best solution for implementation while looping in the relevant stakeholders
• Ability to prioritize problems according to criticality and risk
• Ability to explore and think outside the happy path, and challenge solutions against good practices in the community
• Ability to communicate a critical outcome to teams and stakeholders in an objective and clear manner
• Ability to influence team members, encourage them, and keep a team spirit even in stressful times
• Understanding of CI/CD methodologies
• Experience working in an agile environment
• Bonus: deeper knowledge of one of the following topics: MSSQL Database, Managed SQL instance, Azure SQL, Kubernetes and Containers, Network setup, Hardening of Linux and Windows servers.
