About the position
As a cyber security engineer at Eurowings Digital, your main responsibility is to ensure the security of the Eurowings eCommerce platform. This includes implementing and testing new security features, troubleshooting, and responding to security incidents. You will be involved in creating, developing, and improving security solutions and services, as well as supporting solution architects with secure architecture principles. Additionally, you will conduct risk assessments, develop technical solutions to security vulnerabilities, and collaborate with multiple cybersecurity teams to ensure operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Create, develop, and improve security solutions and services in the area of Cyber Security
- Advance security automation by deploying standardized and automated security workflows
- Support Solution Architects with secure architecture principles and consulting
- Support teams and projects in the public cloud (Azure)
- Conduct risk assessments and threat modeling for applications and cloud infrastructure
- Develop technical solutions to security vulnerabilities
- Respond to security incidents
- Collaboratively work with multiple Cybersecurity teams to ensure consistent operational excellence
- Help maintain a security culture in the company through various activities and initiatives
- Educate staff on security best practices
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with IT Security, covering the prevention, detection and response practices for security incidents
- Experience in securing Cloud technologies, DevOps/DevSecOps and Automation
- Experience with threat modeling and penetration testing
- Familiar with Azure and approaches to security in the cloud
- Experience with application security reviews
- Solid application security fundamentals
- Proven ability to be resilient, organized, reliable and resourceful in problem-solving
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
