About The Position

The Device Engineer will work in network lab operations, infrastructure engineering, systems administration, or testbed engineering. The role may involve solving straightforward problems with moderate guidance or complex problems with limited guidance, depending on the job complexity level. The position is fully on-site in Milpitas, California, and may require travel to an Arrow Client office location as requested by Arrow Client leadership.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
7+ years of experience in network lab operations, infrastructure engineering, systems administration, or testbed engineering.
Strong knowledge of Cisco routing and switching, data center infrastructure, Linux administration (Red Hat/CentOS/Ubuntu), TCP/IP networking, DHCP, PXE, DNS, HTTP services, and server deployment and management.
Experience with SONiC, network operating systems, or hyperscale networking environments.
Hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting routers, switches, and servers.
Experience working with optical modules and fiber connectivity.
Proficiency in Python scripting and infrastructure automation.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience supporting AI/ML infrastructure or GPU-based test environments.
Experience with Cisco Nexus, Cisco 8000 platforms, UCS Servers, or Hyperfabric solutions.
Experience with Ansible, Terraform, or Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
Knowledge of VMware and AWS cloud platforms.
Understanding of network performance testing and benchmarking.
Experience supporting environments consisting of multiple racks and high-density infrastructure deployments.
