About The Position

Walmart is hiring Developmental Technicians specializing in Refrigeration and HVAC Maintenance to help maintain the safety, functionality, and appearance of its stores, equipment, and fixtures. Under the guidance of the local General Maintenance Manager, the technician follows established schedules and guidelines to perform inspections, cleaning, and repairs. Primary responsibilities are assisted or performed under the direct supervision of an experienced technician.

The role uses multiple craft skills and tools to maintain and repair facilities, equipment, and assets. Technicians also handle work orders, respond to emergency maintenance calls, diagnose issues, and complete required safety training for equipment and tools.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
• Be able to move up and down ladders frequently and be comfortable working at heights frequently.
• Be able to sit or stand for long periods.
• Be able to work in various temperatures.
• Maintain an excellent driving record.

• Experience in refrigeration and HVAC maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills, such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, and food equipment.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs.
• Use the work order management system to receive reactive repair work orders and document repair activities.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, and fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
• Perform inspections, cleaning, and repairs according to established schedules and guidelines.
