The Sentinel Product Line is seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as the Sentinel Program Manager for Sentinel FMS Development. This role is responsible for driving successful program execution—covering cost, schedule, and technical performance for key hardware and software development efforts—while maintaining strong customer engagement, identifying growth opportunities, ensuring positive financial performance, and meeting or exceeding all contractual obligations. This position requires strategic and tactical direction for program execution via multi-functional, geographically dispersed teams and sub-contractors with cross-business teams and suppliers. This position will require ~20% domestic/international travel. This position is an onsite role, located in Fullerton, CA

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s and a minimum of 10 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and a minimum of 8 years of experience
  • Experience with MS Office tools
  • Existing Secret Security Clearance (DoD) or ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
  • EVMS certified with applied experience as an EVMS practitioner, IPT Lead, EV Manager on a program
  • Experience developing and reviewing cost proposals, developing proposal review and start-up packages for management review and approval
  • Ability to travel domestically/internationally (~20%)

  • Advanced degree preferred (Business, mathematics, engineering or related field)
  • Knowledge in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects and tactics within one work area.
  • Experience with RLPM, Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and Risk & Opportunity Management
  • Ability to lead, along with peers, the development of long range plans to capitalize on future opportunities
  • Ability to manage various tasks, requirements and commitments and interface successfully with numerous disciplines
  • Export/Import (EX/IM) experience or related experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and proven ability to work effectively with all organization levels, including a matrixed environment
  • Ability to influence and motivate team members and peers
  • Strong Business Acumen skills
  • Experience summarizing and presenting data to customer and senior leadership in a clear, concise and compelling format
  • Familiarity with DOD Contracts, including prior experience with contract definitization
  • Certified BOE Developer / Approver
  • PMX Level 6 certified or ability to obtain Level 6 certification within the first year

Responsibilities

  • Oversee hardware obsolescence development and software capabilities development, as well as support ongoing proposal activities to advance business growth.
  • Leading execution of critical hardware and software development
  • Develop and manage milestones, program plans, schedules and budgets to ensure the program’s objectives are met and managed through the use of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) tools and processes
  • Support the creation of Estimates at Complete (EACs) on a quarterly basis. Support development of cost estimates, test of reasonableness analysis, and risk/opportunity assessment.
  • Establish and maintain a strong relationship with customer. Responsible for supporting regular reporting to senior leadership on program performance, monthly operating reviews and quarterly EACs.
  • Collaborate with cross-business team and integrated-product team leadership to ensure the application of appropriate support resources to overall program execution efforts
  • Collaborate with other Sentinel programs to ensure Top-level Master Phasing and Integrated Master Schedules meet product line strategies, objectives and milestones
  • Assist the Integrated Product Team with the following responsibilities: Integrated Master Plan/Integrated Master Schedule, Program Baselining, Manpower Allocation
  • Providing Sentinel inputs to proposals, supporting customer proposal negotiations, executing program start-up to include program Integrated Master Plan/Integrated Master Schedule and performance baseline development. Developing and partnering customer proposals, white papers, statements of work and Basis of Estimates
