About The Position

Indiana University Health is seeking a Developer-Information Services II to join its IIS team. The role develops and maintains Microsoft-based applications, independently performing coding, testing, and debugging across front-end and back-end components. It builds and supports solutions using .NET technologies and Azure services, resolves technical issues, contributes to system enhancements, and improves development processes to ensure applications meet performance, security, and scalability expectations. The primary focus is database infrastructure reliability and optimization, including profiling slow queries, tuning indexes, managing connection pools and caching such as Redis, assisting with backups and replication, and overseeing zero-downtime schema migrations. A secondary focus is building and maintaining APIs, backend services, and asynchronous queue workers in modern PHP (8.x) and frameworks such as Laravel or Symfony, with clean data-layer abstractions that avoid ORM performance issues such as N+1 queries. Candidates must live and work in Central Indiana. The position is full-time with a hybrid schedule.

  • Experience developing applications using C# and .NET Core or .NET Framework.
  • Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
  • Working knowledge of front-end technologies such as JavaScript frameworks, including React, Angular, or similar.
