About The Position

Indiana University Health is seeking a Full Stack Developer for its Information Services team. The role designs, develops, maintains, and supports scalable web applications, working across frontend interfaces, backend services, databases, and infrastructure. Candidates must live and work in Central Indiana. The schedule is full-time and hybrid.

The position calls for experience with PHP 8+, Laravel, RESTful APIs, Vue.js 3, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Redis, Docker, and Linux server environments. The role also involves application architecture, database design and query optimization, caching, queue management, containerized deployments, and troubleshooting.

The developer may transition among new project development, application maintenance, bug fixes, and technical support tickets. They are expected to work independently and collaboratively, manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment, maintain code quality, and meet deadlines. The qualifications section also calls for advanced experience developing applications with C#, .NET, and modern JavaScript frameworks, as well as experience with Azure cloud services and distributed systems.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of professional software development experience; the qualifications section requires 4–6 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience.
• Proficiency with PHP 8+, Laravel, RESTful API development, and application architecture.
• Experience with Vue.js 3, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and component-based development.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL, including query optimization and database design.
• Experience with Redis, caching strategies, and queue management.
• Experience with Docker, Linux server environments, containerized deployments, and application troubleshooting.
• Comfort working across the full application stack, including frontend interfaces, backend services, and database operations.
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
• Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced development environment.
• Flexibility to move between project development, application maintenance, bug fixes, and technical support tickets.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while maintaining code quality and meeting deadlines.
• Advanced experience developing applications using C#, .NET, and modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Experience working with Azure cloud services and distributed systems.
• Strong knowledge of API design, integration patterns, and application architecture.
• Must live and work in Central Indiana.

Nice To Haves

• Five or more years of professional software development experience is preferred.
• Microsoft Azure Developer Associate certification or equivalent is preferred.
• Experience with performance optimization and application scalability is preferred.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices is preferred.
