About The Position

Devoteam is seeking a Dev / DevOps Senior Tech Lead to join its nearshore team in Portugal, supporting a major aerospace customer. The role serves as the primary technical authority for the engineering team, combining technical leadership and mentoring with hands-on application and infrastructure development. The position works closely with Portuguese and French engineering teams to build AWS serverless solutions and ensure smooth Run & Build integration.

The Tech Lead contributes to development, production support, CI/CD automation, and operational handover. Responsibilities include resolving complex L2/L3 escalations, developing and improving services, facilitating knowledge transfer from French build teams, and promoting sound code quality, cloud architecture, and system performance practices.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of professional experience in software engineering, cloud architecture, and DevOps practices.
• Strong proficiency in Go for backend development and Angular/TypeScript for frontend development.
• Deep expertise in AWS Serverless services, including AWS Lambda, API Gateway, S3, and DynamoDB/Aurora PostgreSQL.
• Hands-on experience writing and managing Infrastructure as Code with Terraform.
• Solid track record with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and cloud deployment strategies.
• Previous experience handling L2/L3 production support, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
• Fluent written and spoken English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as a technical reference and mentor for the Dev/DevOps engineering team, promoting high standards of code quality and architecture.
• Design, develop, and maintain application software using Go and Angular/TypeScript, as well as cloud infrastructure using AWS Serverless and Terraform.
• Handle complex L2/L3 technical escalations, conduct root cause analysis, and deliver timely resolutions for high-impact issues.
• Lead CI/CD pipeline automation, automated testing strategies, and deployment processes across development, QA, and production environments.
• Participate in the build backlog by developing core features, refactoring existing services, and improving system scalability.
• Facilitate knowledge transfer from French build teams and ensure seamless handover of operational support from L2 to L3.
• Conduct code reviews, enforce cloud architecture best practices, and optimize system performance.
