About The Position

Interviews and coordinates with the Courts to approve or deny alternative sentencing for eligible offenders. Explains in detail all the rules and regulations to the offenders and their families. Sets up electronic home hook-up appointments and uses discretion with the families and performing periodic checks. Sets up and meets with the offenders on a weekly basis and reviews their behavior. Collects, handles, and reads drug screens on all required offenders. Supervises and monitors behavior of offenders on Jail Electronic Home Detention, Misdemeanor Compliance offenders and assists other personnel in coordinating and tracking DWI offenders; Provides good time forms and other appropriate paperwork to courts in a timely manner, understands proper procedures, for reclassifying individuals who have violated the program. Employee may perform a wide range of detention duties to ensure the proper booking, incarceration, and safety of persons committed to the Detention Center. Employee may be required to work irregular hours, attend job-related meetings and perform other duties as assigned. Employee will be subject to being called out to check on offenders during off hours.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver's License
  • Driving record dated within the last 30 days
  • Completed and notarized waiver
  • Completed Veterans' Form

Responsibilities
