About The Position

The Detection & Investigation Associate works within PNC’s AML organization and is responsible for investigating and mitigating suspicious bank activity and helping control and prevent losses related to fraud, anti-money laundering, and organizational risk. Based on investigation findings and root causes, the associate helps develop and implement internal controls to identify suspicious or illegal activity and recover losses. The role identifies control gaps and enhancements that may have a significant monetary impact. The associate independently works with internal and external stakeholders—including local, state, and federal authorities, agencies, and other financial institutions—on matters involving fraudulent or illegal activity when appropriate. The role investigates identified activity, determines whether it is reportable or needs further escalation using standard criteria and/or independent judgment, and completes and maintains the required investigation documentation. This is a remote role for residents within one hour of a designated hub in Alabama, Ohio, Texas, North Carolina, Florida, or Pennsylvania. Remote work is subject to PNC approval and must be performed from a quiet, secure, confidential home workspace. Occasional in-office participation may be required based on business needs. The position is not available in all geographic areas. PNC will not sponsor employment visas or participate in STEM OPT for this position.
