About The Position

Suburban Exotics is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Detailer to help maintain vehicles’ appearance and deliver a world-class customer experience. The role is part of the service team and ensures vehicles are prepared to a high standard before they leave the dealership.

The Detailer welcomes customers, protects vehicles arriving for service, cleans and restores vehicle interiors, exteriors, and engine areas, and applies vehicle protection treatments. The role also involves retrieving customer vehicles, inspecting completed work, maintaining clean work areas and parking lots, and reporting safety, security, or quality concerns. Work must be completed safely and in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous automotive detailing experience is a plus, but not required.
• Ability to operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome customers in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner.
• Install disposable seat covers, steering wheel covers, and floor mats in vehicles arriving for service.
• Clean and detail vehicle exteriors and interiors to high standards.
• Clean engines and engine compartments.
• Inspect vehicles for noticeable defects and restore the appearance of engine areas, carpets, upholstery, and painted surfaces.
• Prepare and apply vehicle protection packages and treatments.
• Complete work assignments safely and in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards.
• Restore vehicles to a like-new appearance whenever possible.
• Retrieve customer vehicles from the parking lot when directed or upon completion of service.
• Review completed work before vehicle delivery and notify management of concerns or quality issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment, including work areas and parking lots.
• Report situations that may affect the safety, security, or well-being of customers, employees, or dealership property.
• Maintain a valid driver's license and immediately notify management of changes in driving status.
