About The Position

The Detailer cleans and refurbishes new and used automobiles according to dealership and/or manufacturer specifications and time allowances. The role maintains showroom and stock vehicles in a clean, presentable condition and keeps the work area neat and clean. The position is located at Bergey's Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram FIAT of Montgomeryville and is full-time.

Requirements

Valid driver's license.
Successful completion of pre-employment background checks and drug screening.

Responsibilities

Wash vehicle exteriors, clean interior and exterior windows, and wipe down doorjambs.
Apply wax to vehicle bodies and wipe or buff surfaces.
Vacuum vehicle interiors to remove loose dirt and debris.
Clean upholstery, rugs, and other surfaces using appropriate cleaning agents, applicators, and devices.
Apply revitalizers and preservation agents to interior vinyl or leather, and treat fabrics with spot- and stain-resistant chemicals.
Clean engines and engine compartments with steam-cleaning equipment and cleaning agents.
Use special-purpose cleaners to remove materials not removed by normal cleaning, following product manufacturer recommendations and exercising appropriate judgment.
Inspect vehicles for visible defects, including dents, scratches, torn upholstery, and poor mechanical operation.
Restore the appearance of engine areas, rugs, upholstery, and painted surfaces using touch-up paint, dyes, and other appropriate materials.
Use proper eye, hand, and body protection when handling products that require protection.
Fill vehicles with fuel and apply dressing to tires and tire wells.
Replace missing or defective small parts.
Maintain showroom and stock vehicles in clean and presentable condition.
Ensure proper stickers are displayed in vehicle windows and remove all window stickers from sold vehicles.
Keep the work area neat and clean.
Operate tools and equipment safely and report safety issues immediately to management.
Perform other tasks as assigned.
