About The Position

The Service Detail Technician cleans the interior and exterior surfaces of sales and service vehicles, as well as new and used inventory, in a safe and efficient manner. The role involves using vehicle-cleaning equipment and products, maintaining supplies, performing minor cosmetic body repairs, and attending production meetings as needed or directed by managers. The position offers compensation starting from $17 per hour flat rate.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles.
• Demonstrated customer service skills.
• Ability to operate an automobile.

Responsibilities

• Operate an automated car wash to remove surface dirt from vehicles.
• Vacuum interior surfaces, spot-clean textile stains, and clean solid surfaces.
• Clean exterior surfaces using cleaners, mechanical buffers, and polishing compounds.
• Maintain an inventory of cleaners, compounds, and tools needed to complete assigned work efficiently.
• Perform minor body repairs to scratches and blemishes using buffers and/or wet sanders.
• Attend periodic production meetings as needed or directed by managers.
