About The Position

The Service Technician performs vehicle repair and maintenance work assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards. The technician may also oversee the work of an assigned apprentice technician. The role includes diagnosing and repairing vehicle malfunctions, checking for additional safety or service work, documenting completed work, and road-testing vehicles when required. Technicians attend factory-sponsored training classes. The listed hourly pay range is $25–$50, based on experience.

Requirements

ASE certification or manufacturer training.
At least 2 years of experience as a luxury vehicle technician.
Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
Must be authorized to work in the USA.
Must pass pre-employment testing, including background checks, an MVR check, and a drug test, and have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Perform work outlined on repair orders accurately.
Diagnose the cause of vehicle malfunctions and perform repairs.
Examine vehicles to determine whether additional safety or service work is required.
Immediately notify the service advisor when additional work is needed.
Document work performed.
Road-test vehicles when required.
Attend factory-sponsored training classes.
Oversee the work of any apprentice technician assigned to the role.
