About The Position

Teph Seal Auto Appearance is hiring for flat-rate detail shop positions at an auto dealership. The Detailer maintains store facilities and helps deliver high-quality service through courteous customer interactions and timely responses to customer inquiries and complaints. Duties include driving, detailing, and cleaning vehicles. The posting identifies Detail Specialist 1 for candidates with some experience and Detail Specialist 2 for candidates with two or more years of experience. The role involves cleaning vehicle exteriors and interiors, using cleaning solutions and equipment, and applying products to protect vehicle surfaces. Detailers may also clean engine compartments and perform other duties assigned by management. This is a physically demanding job involving frequent movement, repeated entry into and exit from vehicles, and work with numerous vehicles. Work may be performed outdoors in varying weather conditions. Compensation is flat rate.

Requirements

Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
Ability to learn quickly and work as part of a team.

Punctuality and ability to stay on task during the shift.
Ability to drive both automatic and manual-transmission vehicles.
Availability to work Saturday or Sunday and holidays as needed to meet production needs.
Ability to distinguish small imperfections in detailing work and maintain quality.
Ability to communicate orally and to see and hear clearly.
Adherence to uniform and grooming standards.
Successful completion of drug and background screening.

Responsibilities

Maintain store facilities to support high-quality service.
Help ensure customers receive courteous service and timely responses to inquiries and complaints.
Drive, detail, and clean vehicles.
Wash vehicle exteriors using various cleaning solutions.
Wax and buff vehicles using cloths and buffing machines as needed.
Vacuum vehicle interiors and clean upholstery and surfaces.
Dry surfaces using air compressors and cloths, and apply preservation chemicals to protect surfaces from spots and stains.
Use dyes, paints, and waxes to protect vehicle leather or fabric when required.
Clean and remove grease from engines or engine compartments when required.
Inspect the quality of their work and the work of other team members.
Carry out additional duties assigned by management based on operational needs.
