About The Position

Teph Seal Auto Appearance is hiring for flat-rate detail shop positions, including Detail Specialist 1 (some experience) and Detail Specialist 2 (2+ years of experience). The role maintains store facilities and provides high-quality vehicle detailing and customer service. Detailers drive, detail, and clean vehicles while helping ensure customers receive courteous service, quality products, and timely responses to inquiries and complaints. The work involves washing vehicle exteriors, waxing and buffing, vacuuming and cleaning interiors, drying surfaces, applying protective chemicals, and potentially using dyes, paints, and waxes on leather or fabric. Detailers may also clean grease from engines or engine compartments and perform additional duties assigned by management. The position is physically demanding, may involve outdoor work in varying weather, and requires handling multiple vehicles during the workday. Compensation is flat rate.

Requirements

Valid driver's license and good driving record.

Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
Availability to work Saturdays or Sundays and holidays as needed to meet production needs.
Ability to distinguish small imperfections and inspect detailing work.
Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and have adequate vision and hearing.
Willingness to complete drug and background screening as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

Maintain store facilities to support high-quality service.
Drive, detail, and clean vehicles.
Provide courteous service and respond promptly to customer inquiries and complaints.
Wash vehicle exteriors using cleaning solutions.
Wax and buff vehicles using cloths and buffing machines as needed.
Vacuum vehicle interiors and clean upholstery and surfaces.
Dry surfaces using air compressors and cloths and apply preservation chemicals to protect against spots and stains.
Use dyes, paints, and waxes to protect vehicle leather or fabric when required.
Clean grease from engines or engine compartments when required.
Inspect the quality of personal work and that of other team members.
Carry out additional duties assigned by management due to operational needs.
Follow uniform and grooming standards and work with urgency to respect customers' time.
