About The Position

Teph Seal Auto Appearance is hiring flat-rate Detail Specialists to work in a detail shop at auto dealerships. The role involves driving, detailing, and cleaning vehicles, maintaining store facilities, and helping ensure customers receive high-quality service and timely responses to inquiries or complaints. The company is seeking candidates for Detail Specialist 1, requiring some experience, and Detail Specialist 2, requiring two or more years of experience. Detailers wash vehicle exteriors, and may wax and buff them using cloths and buffing machines. They vacuum interiors, clean upholstery and surfaces, dry surfaces with air compressors and cloths, and apply preservation chemicals. Duties may also include using dyes, paints, and waxes to protect vehicle materials and removing grease from engines or engine compartments. Additional duties may be assigned to meet operational needs. This physically demanding job requires frequent bending, lifting, reaching, squatting, and getting in and out of vehicles. Work may be performed outdoors in varying weather, and employees move numerous vehicles during the workday. Detailers must inspect their work carefully, follow uniform and grooming standards, and work with urgency to respect customers’ time. Compensation is flat rate. Employment is contingent on successful completion of drug and background screening.

Requirements

Valid driver's license and good driving record.
Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
Ability to learn quickly and work as part of a team.
Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
Treat customers' personal vehicles with great care and respect.
Arrive on time and remain on task during the shift.
Availability to work Saturday or Sunday and holidays when necessary to meet production needs.
Detail Specialist 1: some experience.
Detail Specialist 2: two or more years of experience.
Successfully complete drug and background screening as a condition of employment.
Ability to distinguish small imperfections in finished work and perform quality inspections.
Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, with clarity of vision and hearing.

Responsibilities

Wash vehicle exteriors using cleaning solutions.
Wax and buff vehicles using cloths and buffing machines as needed.
Vacuum vehicle interiors and clean upholstery and surfaces.
Dry surfaces using air compressors and cloths, and apply preservation chemicals.
Use dyes, paints, and waxes to protect vehicle leather or fabric as needed.
Clean and remove grease from engines or engine compartments as needed.
Drive, detail, and clean vehicles, including moving vehicles during the workday.
Maintain store facilities and support high-quality service and customer satisfaction.
Respond to customer inquiries and complaints and help establish timely conclusions.
Inspect own work and the work of other team members for quality.
Carry out additional duties assigned by management to meet operational needs.
Follow uniform and grooming standards and work with urgency.
