Detail Specialist
About The Position
U-Haul is hiring a Detail Specialist to clean and detail trucks and trailers at its Inkster, Michigan location. The role helps keep U-Haul's fleet in top condition for customers. Detail Specialists use U-Haul proprietary technology and company-provided tools to care for field vehicles, working in detail bays and on a production line. The position can provide an entry point to other roles at U-Haul, with opportunities to learn on the job and participate in the Technician Training Program, including classes from Ford, GMC, and U-Haul. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require employer sponsorship. The position requires a driver's license, regular attendance, and the ability to work both as part of a team and individually. U-Haul states that it does not hire or re-hire nicotine users in Michigan and other listed states, consistent with applicable state law.

Responsibilities
- Clean and buff trucks and trailers.
- Remove decals from damaged equipment leaving the fleet and prepare the equipment for sale.
- Use industry-standard safety equipment.
- Work in a production line.
- Provide assistance in additional areas as needed, following the supervisor's directives and guidance.
- Use U-Haul proprietary technology to care for field vehicles.
