About the position
We are seeking a lighting artist with experience in working with outsourced assets and strong communication skills. The role involves providing feedback on outsource assets, maintaining documentation for technical pipelines, and standardizing naming conventions and file organization. The lighting artist will also be responsible for integrating all types of lighting assets and troubleshooting technical issues related to lighting. This is an opportunity to contribute to the immersive experience of video games and work with a talented team at Bungie.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for high quantity of feedback on outsource assets of a sub discipline that matches the Destiny aesthetic, while advocating discipline best practices
- Communicating to external art vendors at each stage of production
- Incorporating feedback from Art Direction, from the Art Outsource Manager, and the Lighting Art Lead
- Standardizing naming conventions and file organization
- Building and maintaining documentation for technical pipelines, workflows, and spec-sheets
- Spearhead innovative pipelines and workflows related to External Lighting Pipelines
- Mentorship of internal support team and external vendor artists
- Integrating all types of lighting assets
- Closing Bug Support
Requirements
- Experience working with outsourced assets
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to provide feedback on outsource assets that matches the Destiny aesthetic
- Ability to communicate with external art vendors at each stage of production
- Incorporating feedback from Art Direction, Art Outsource Manager, and Lighting Art Lead
- Standardizing naming conventions and file organization
- Building and maintaining documentation for technical pipelines, workflows, and spec-sheets
- Spearheading innovative pipelines and workflows related to External Lighting Pipelines
- Mentoring internal support team and external vendor artists
- Integrating all types of lighting assets
- Troubleshooting technical issues related to Lighting of Environments and Cinematic Content
- Willingness to learn proprietary game engine
- Maintaining positive relationships with internal artists and external vendors
