Contract Destiny VFX Artist

We are looking for a driven artist to join our team and contribute to the expansion of the Destiny universe through visually stunning effects. The ideal candidate should have a passion for learning advanced technical and artistic skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with a team. The main responsibility of this role is to create in-game visual effects that enhance gameplay and the overall player experience. The candidate should also have experience in working on shipped game titles, possess a strong portfolio showcasing their skills in real-time VFX, and have familiarity with tools such as Photoshop and 3D packages.

• Work closely with the VFX Rewards Lead to author effect assets that enhance gameplay and storytelling
• Use proprietary tools, DCC and Photoshop to create effects that balance the visual goals of the project with the performance demands of the game engine
• Help develop Destiny's visual language through the craft of visual effects
• Build productive working relationships with your team

• Experience working as a VFX Artist on a shipped game title or equivalent
• A portfolio or demo reel demonstrating artistic and technical skills in real-time VFX, timing, and scale
• Experience with node-based shaders for real-time VFX
• Familiarity with Photoshop and 3D packages
• A dedicated interest in games
• Technically proficient, able to identify and collaborate on pipeline innovations (nice-to-have)
• Programming or scripting experience in any language (C++ / Python / HLSL) (nice-to-have)
• Animation background (nice-to-have)
