This role involves the configuration, installation, maintenance, and upgrade of all desktop devices, including hardware, software, and operating systems. The analyst will be responsible for installing and overseeing software installations, monitoring desktop devices, collecting and analyzing usage statistics, and producing reports on usage and stability. Key duties also include researching, purchasing, and implementing software/hardware for reporting, as well as evaluating and recommending desktop hardware and software. The position requires maintaining desktop security, supporting user access and security at the desktop level, and building/maintaining updated desktop procedure documentation for IS support personnel. The individual must maintain adequate skills to support other technical areas like OS/server and network technicians, work independently, exercise sound judgment in problem-solving, and utilize excellent interpersonal communication skills.
