About The Position

We are seeking a Desktop Support Technician to provide hands-on technical support within a fast-paced environment. This role supports daily IT operations and technology deployment initiatives while delivering exceptional customer service to end users. The ideal candidate is proactive, customer-focused, and eager to learn. This position requires providing high-touch technical support to healthcare professionals, administrative staff, and business users while troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related issues both onsite and remotely.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of desktop support, IT support, or help desk experience.
  • Strong experience supporting Windows environments.
  • Experience managing user accounts and permissions in Active Directory.
  • Knowledge of PC hardware, desktop support, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience troubleshooting: Network connectivity issues, IP addressing conflicts, Network drive mapping, Printer connectivity, Peripheral devices
  • Ability to provide both onsite and remote technical support.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong documentation and ticket management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a healthcare or clinical environment.
  • Experience supporting thin clients and multifunction printers.
  • Knowledge of basic networking concepts and patch panel troubleshooting.
  • Previous experience supporting executives, clinicians, or other high-touch user groups.

Responsibilities

  • Provide desktop support for end users
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Windows operating system issues, application problems, and hardware failures.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access requests through Active Directory.
  • Support desktops, laptops, thin clients, workstations, and multifunction printers.
  • Respond to support requests in person, via phone, email, and remote support tools.
  • Diagnose and resolve basic network connectivity issues, including IP conflicts and network drive mapping.
  • Configure, deploy, and maintain new hardware and technology equipment.
  • Assist with computer builds, deployments, upgrades, refreshes, and cleanup projects.
  • Troubleshoot printer issues and peripheral device connectivity.
  • Work with patch panels and assist in resolving network-related incidents.
  • Document incidents, resolutions, and support activities accurately within the ticketing system.
  • Perform routine rounding and provide proactive support to end users.
  • Travel between local sites as needed to support business requirements.
