About The Position
Peninsula Post Acute is seeking a compassionate and dependable Desk Nurse (LVN/LPN) for a part-time, on-call position in a skilled nursing environment. The nurse will provide quality nursing care, support residents' health and well-being, and work alongside a dedicated healthcare team. The role offers flexible on-call scheduling and pays $40.00–$46.00 per hour.
Requirements
- Current and active California LVN/LPN license.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
Nice To Haves
- At least 1 year of skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or post-acute care experience is preferred.
- PointClickCare (PCC) experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care and administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor resident conditions and promptly report changes to physicians and nursing leadership.
- Complete accurate charting and clinical documentation.
- Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Support and supervise CNAs and nursing assistants during assigned shifts.
- Transcribe physician orders and maintain resident medical records.
- Respond professionally to resident, family, and staff concerns.
- Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary team meetings.
- Maintain nursing supplies and medication inventory.
