About The Position

The Desk Estimator prepares scopes and estimates for reconstruction and emergency services, using 3D scans and Project Director scopes. The role involves scoping losses, creating estimates with Xactimate or Symbility, and securing projects. The estimator collaborates with clients to obtain estimate and invoice approval and communicates and documents change orders and insurance supplements. This is a hybrid position, with the selected candidate expected to work primarily in the office initially for training, onboarding, and team integration.

Requirements

Experience with Xactimate and/or Symbility.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience.
Customer service experience.
Strong attention to detail to reduce estimate errors and omissions.
Knowledge of technology, including iPhone, iPad, and computers.
Ability to learn and operate RMS, Xactimate, Symbility, MICA, and other systems as requested.
Ability to create documents.
Ability to communicate with customers by phone and face to face.
Ability to work independently and/or with a team.
Ability to work safely in hazardous environments.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

Meet service standards set by the client or company.
Estimate each loss using third-party estimating software, such as Xactimate or Symbility, as required.
Use the internal review process.
Ensure each project achieves the minimum gross profit margin determined by company standards.
Complete estimates within 24 hours of assignment.
Communicate and document change orders and insurance supplements.
Collaborate with clients to obtain estimate and invoice approval.
Participate in an on-call schedule.
