About The Position

Arrowstreet, Inc. is seeking a Designer 4 to join their team. This role involves drawing upon an understanding of architectural concepts to assist in developing designs, interpreting design concepts for clarity and constructability, and independently executing the production of interior and exterior construction documents with design intent and technical quality. The position requires planning and conducting work that involves independent evaluation, selection, adaptation, and modification of standard techniques and methodologies. The Designer 4 will uphold the design concept through all decisions, follow through on coordination items, and anticipate and communicate the impact of changes on the project holistically. Responsibilities also include assisting with the architectural construction administration process to ensure design intent, applying understanding of building and accessibility codes, and leading the development of project design concepts. Telecommuting is an option, but the individual must reside within commuting distance of the office to be in-office a minimum of three days per week.

Requirements

  • Master of Science in Architecture or closely related field
  • At least four (4) years of experience in any occupation understanding and addressing unique architectural design challenges
  • Demonstrated ability engaging in design documentation gained through four years of work experience
  • Demonstrated ability communicating with team members to convey design concepts and communicating design concepts to clients gained through four years of work experience
  • Demonstrated ability with project management and preparing diagrams, 3D models, drawings, renderings and physical models gained through four years of work experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) gained through four years of work experience

Responsibilities

  • Drawing upon understanding of architectural concepts, assist in developing the design with respect to the concept
  • Interpret design concept for clarity and constructability

  • Assist with the architectural construction administration process to ensure design intent
  • Apply understanding of building and accessibility codes
  • Lead the development of project design concepts
