About The Position

The Designer works in the Outlet and Club Design department, focusing on off-price apparel, jackets, bottoms, woven tops, and skirts. The role researches seasonal trends, develops design concepts and technical materials, and collaborates with graphic, technical, sourcing, production, and overseas vendor teams to move styles through development and sampling. The Designer contributes aesthetic and fit input, maintains design and fabric resources, and ensures work meets the design calendar.

Responsibilities

Research seasonal trends, silhouettes, fabrics, and trim through research and shopping.
Create inspiration mood boards.
Generate sketches, including CADs in Illustrator and AI.
Produce detailed seasonal presentations.
Create start-of-season style boards for the assigned area, showing silhouette, color, fabric, print, pattern, and embroidery options.
Work with the graphic team to create print patterns and embroidery layouts.
Set up Illustrator development pages and keep them updated throughout development.
Create and maintain organized, accurate tech packs for all styles in Full Circle so samples can be developed efficiently.
Communicate promptly and daily with overseas vendors and internal teams.
Attend Color/Mood, Sketch, Proto Review, Final Merch, and Handover to Tech and Sourcing meetings.
Work with cross-functional Technical, Sourcing, and Production teams, sharing style updates by email.
Attend fittings with the technical team, help determine appropriate fit, and provide aesthetic and visual input.
Maintain the fabric and trim library.
Review lab dips and strike-offs and provide comments with the sourcing manager.
Meet design calendar deadlines.
Organize the proto and sample rack.
Review samples and ensure salesman samples are tagged and include disclaimers when needed.
Assist with special projects as needed.
Contribute as a team player.
