About The Position

Prowess Consulting is seeking a Multimedia/Motion Designer on a contract basis to create engaging video and animation content for clients in the high-tech industry. The role focuses on turning complex, technically dense topics into clear, engaging video and animation experiences. The designer will use motion design and video-editing skills, with strong pacing, narrative, and visual clarity, and will collaborate with writers and project managers to develop visual stories for intended viewers. Applicants must reside in one of the listed states: Alabama, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Georgia, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Virginia, or Washington. Applicants are asked to submit samples of video and motion-design work, such as animation, explainer videos, or short-form content. The stated pay range is $50–$80 per hour W2, depending on experience and geographic location. The posting notes that a 1099 contractor arrangement may be possible for candidates with an established business entity. No third-party agencies, please.

Requirements

Strong experience in motion design and animation, including proficiency with tools such as After Effects.
Video editing and storytelling skills, including pacing, sequencing, and narrative development.
Ability to simplify complex topics into clear, visually compelling stories.
Strong attention to detail and consistency across assets.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Must reside in one of the listed states.
Submit samples of video and motion-design work, including animation, explainer videos, or short-form content.

Nice To Haves

Experience creating short-form, engaging video content for enterprise audiences is preferred.
An established business entity may enable a 1099 contractor engagement.
